In life we find things that could be either good or bad. Some things that you consider to be good could also be bad . On a great scale of things it all depends on how God views it.
Most of us people say, well, we can do those things on our own and we don't need God's view on it. When in reality, God knows what's going to happen to you later on, if you don't let him guide you now.
Proverbs 14:12 - There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.
God knows what's going to happen, and if you don't trust him you are going to sin. Then, after sinning, you will fall into many consequences, which will cause you to become depressed. Being depressed, then leads you into the worlds ways. The worlds ways aren't the best ones to follow.
When people get bad news and it shakes them. They pray to God, but they do it only because they are in a tough situation.
The people on earth who don't know Jesus don't know true love. Jesus is there to protect us from the flesh of this world.
